Celebrate National Prosecco Day

Today, 13 August marks International Prosecco Day, paying homage to the sparkling wine hailing from the scenic region of Veneto, Italy.

The bubbles from Italy elevate any gathering and Prosecco’s sweet taste and light aroma make it the perfect choice for celebrations.

The story of Prosecco

The drink originates from the quaint Italian village of Prosecco, nestled in the picturesque region of Veneto in the Trieste province and is now a beverage that is celebrated globally.

Last year 660 million bottles of this Italian beverage were sold, giving Prosecco DOC a profit of 3.6 million euros.

It is made from the Glera grape and produced in a large area spanning nine provinces in the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giula regions.

International Prosecco Day is an inclusive celebration for everyone, where you can enjoy a glass, share experiences, and appreciate the craftsmanship and tradition that goes into making this tipple.

So raise a glass on International Prosecco day, indulge and appreciate its taste, history, and cultural significance.
