Hop Into the Flying Ford Anglia This Halloween at the British Motor Museum

By Donna Richardson

If you’ve ever dreamed of taking flight in the legendary Ford Anglia from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, now’s your chance. This Halloween, the British Motor Museum is inviting muggles and wizards alike to climb aboard the sky-blue star car for a magical spin around its Warwickshire grounds — no invisibility cloak required.

On 31 October, the museum will be transformed into a spellbinding celebration of all things mystical and motor-powered. Visitors are encouraged to don their finest robes, hats, and house colours to fully embrace the wizarding world. And because no Halloween adventure is complete without treats, museum staff will be handing out sweets — with a few extra surprises for those in costume.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Throughout the Half-Term week (25 October – 2 November), families can dive into a jam-packed programme of activities designed to spark creativity and curiosity. Budding engineers can build LEGO® car models for local community pantries as part of the heartwarming Beep-Beep, Build! initiative, while little scientists can get hands-on in the lab with Beep-Beep, Boom! — a lively mix of science, sound, and spectacle.

For younger explorers, there’s a hunt for mischievous Black Cats hiding among the exhibits, plus the Driven by Your Senses Family Trail and Beep-Beep Family Tour, making this an unforgettable autumn outing for kids and grown-ups alike.

And as a special thank you to locals, residents living within 10 miles of the museum can visit for half price this autumn — the perfect excuse to rediscover the world’s largest collection of historic British cars right on your doorstep.

Admission starts from £46 per family (in advance) or £52 on the day, with a variety of ticket options available. Better yet, if you choose to Gift Aid or donate your entry, you’ll receive an Annual Pass at no extra cost — meaning you can return for another dose of motoring magic all year round.

So, polish your broomstick, round up your housemates, and make tracks to Gaydon this Halloween. The Flying Ford Anglia awaits — ready to make your half-term a little more… magical.
