Orient Express Sailing Yachts partners with the Festival de Cannes

The 79th edition is taking place from 12 to 23 May 2026

Two names woven in the collective imagination, two French legacies carried by the power of dreams and excellence. Each year, the Festival de Cannes brings the most significant works of international cinema to the forefront, turning the Croisette into the centre of the world for twelve days. Since 1883, Orient Express has embodied an artistic epic, a myth deeply rooted in cultural memory, the promise of absolute refinement and extraordinary adventure. With a new generation of trains, hotels and exceptional sailing yachts, Orient Express continues to redefine the codes of travel, shaping each experience into a celebration of rediscovered time.

Orient Express Corinthian in the bay of Cannes

During the Festival, the Orient Express Corinthian will be anchored in the Bay of Cannes. This 220-meter sailing yacht, the first in the Orient Express fleet, features three masts and is powered by SolidSail technology, marking the start of its inaugural season at sea. The yacht is a collaboration between the Accor Group and Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Its interiors have been designed by Maxime d’Angeac, the Artistic Director of Orient Express, and its sleek silhouette will be visible from the Croisette throughout the Festival.

About the Orient Express

The iconic Orient Express, renowned for redefining the art of travel since 1883, is expanding into a comprehensive luxury hospitality ecosystem spanning trains, hotels, and sailing yachts. Beginning with the launch of its first hotel, Orient Express La Minerva in Rome, and followed by Orient Express Venezia in 2026, the brand is extending its signature elegance onto land while continuing its rail legacy with the newly introduced La Dolce Vita Orient Express and the anticipated return of the legendary L’Orient Express train.

This evolution also reaches the seas with the upcoming Orient Express Corinthian in 2026 and Orient Express Olympian in 2027, two groundbreaking sailing yachts developed through a partnership between Accor and Chantiers de l’Atlantique, featuring innovative SolidSail technology, three towering tilting masts exceeding 100 metres, and a sail area of 1,500 m² capable of achieving up to 100% wind propulsion under optimal conditions. Since 2022, as part of Accor’s luxury portfolio and further strengthened by a 2024 strategic partnership with LVMH, Orient Express is positioning itself as a modern symbol of sustainable, immersive, and ultra-luxury travel across the globe.
