Prince Harry visits St Ann’s in Nottingham to announce £1.1 million donation to Children in Need

Prince Harry flew back to the UK and his first stop was Nottingham’s Community Recording Studio in St Ann’s, Nottingham where he listened youngsters performances before announcing a donation which will change their lives and many others.

He met with representatives from Children in Need, CRS, Epic Partners and Nottingham’s Police and Crime Commissioner and announced a million pound donation to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Harry last visited the Community Recording Studio in St Ann’s in 2019 and described the estate as ‘very special to him, and has visited the city many times.

It is hoped that the funding will help young people discover their strengths and find their potential. The funding will go a long way to helping communities like this one, which has faced numerous challenges, grow stronger and safer.

The Duke said: “The incredible work being done by grassroots organisations like CRS and Epic Partners is not only inspiring – its essential.

“We are grateful for the support of BBC Children in Need in helping changemakers in the city continue their mission to create safe spaces, build trust, and offer hope and belonging to young people who need it most.”
