As the Caribbean season kicks off, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa has reopened following its annual autumn closure, unveiling a US$14 million transformation of all 250 guest rooms in the adults-only Harmony Wing and family-friendly Splash Wing, now all Junior Suites. The investment is the largest room project in Coconut Bay’s over 20-year history.
Mark Adams, President and CEO of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, said, “This project represents more than new rooms. It reflects our commitment to continually enhancing the guest experience for the many repeat guests who return to Coconut Bay year after year, as well as those discovering us for the first time.

“We have always believed that by listening to our guests and looking at what we can do better, we can elevate every Coconut Bay getaway. This is a significant milestone for us, and we’re incredibly proud of the work that has gone into creating more modern, comfortable accommodation that our guests will enjoy for years to come.”
The work went well beyond new furnishings and décor. The team stripped each room back to the studs and rebuilt it within its existing footprint, including the bathrooms, with sleek white granite countertops, vessel sinks, and new finishes and fixtures. Harmony Junior Suites now feature spacious walk-in glass showers, while Splash Junior Suites offer full-size bathtubs. Guests will also find practical updates including blackout curtains, upgraded air conditioning, convenient 110V and 220V outlets, and full-length mirrors integrated into stylish sliding barn doors.
In Splash, ocean-inspired shades of blue, crisp white furnishings, twin trundle beds and sea turtle artwork complement the family-friendly design. Harmony features warm mahogany furniture and comfortable seating areas. All Junior Suites also feature private patios or balconies, with views ranging from tropical gardens and resort pools to the Atlantic Ocean and Maria Islands Nature Reserve.
The resort has also directed an additional US$4 million toward improvements across the property. Additions include the adults-only Oceanside Bar & Grill in Harmony and a new swim-up bar at the Harmony Oasis Pool. Coconut Walk Marketplace and Silk restaurant have been refreshed, the restrooms at Trattoria and La Luna have been renovated, and the main Entertainment Stage restrooms have been remodelled.
John Miles, General Manager of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, said, “We can’t wait to welcome our guests back to experience all the additions and changes we made during this year’s closure. The project list was extensive, and many of the improvements, especially in Harmony, were inspired by suggestions from our valued extended family of guests who return year after year. Many of the changes, especially in Harmony, were inspired by suggestions from our valued extended family of guests. Their feedback helps us understand what matters most to them, and we’re always looking for ways to build on what they already love about Coconut Bay.”

The Bougainvillaea Banquet Room now has a vaulted ceiling, landscaping and walkways, while the Fitness Centre has new equipment and completely renovated restrooms. Guests will also notice new lighted walkways in Harmony, landscaping around the Lazy River, new flooring in the Lobby, and a new local vendor shopping area that offers another opportunity to discover products from Saint Lucian businesses.
For guest convenience, three new in-room information channels make it simple to find information on dining, drinks, spa treatments and excursions. Along the shoreline, a new boom installation in the water will also support the resort’s ongoing sargassum management efforts.
This winter, a new Game Lounge with pool tables, ping-pong, foosball, TVs, and a beverage area will open, giving guests a new place to spend time. A new playground will open at the CocoLand Kidz Klub, and new doors and a key card system will be installed for all guest rooms.
Even with these extensive upgrades, what draws travellers to Coconut Bay remains unchanged. Guests know they’ll enjoy exceptional Premium All-Inclusive value across its 85 oceanfront acres just five minutes from Hewanorra International Airport, with nine restaurants, eight bars, five pools, CocoLand Waterpark, the complimentary CocoLand Kidz Klub, a wide range of daily activities and entertainment and the warm Saint Lucian hospitality that has always been at the heart of the resort.
