International music, comedy and combat sports comes to one of the world’s best-preserved Roman amphitheatres, set against the backdrop of Croatia’s Istrian coast
This summer, Pula’s iconic Roman Arena will once again become one of Europe’s most atmospheric open-air venues, hosting an impressive programme of international music, comedy and sporting events from June to September 2026.
Set in the heart of Croatia’s Istrian peninsula, the season offers visitors the chance to experience world-class performances in one of the largest and best-preserved Roman amphitheatres, while discovering one of the Mediterranean’s most captivating coastal regions.

Built in the first century AD and overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the Pula Arena remains one of Croatia’s most recognisable landmarks. During the summer months, its ancient limestone walls provide a dramatic backdrop for unforgettable evenings beneath the stars, where history, culture and contemporary entertainment come together in a truly unique setting.
The 2026 programme opens on 14 June with rock icon Lenny Kravitz, followed by Latin superstar Ricky Martin on 19 June and legendary musician and former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne on 28 June. July continues with a standout line-up including Italian singer-songwriter Jovanotti on 3 July, Grammy Award-winning artist John Legend on 4 July, electronic music pioneer Moby on 23 July, groundbreaking electronic group Kraftwerk on 28 July, comedian Jimmy Carr on 29 July and internationally acclaimed DJ Black Coffee on 31 July.
August brings another stellar series of performances, with Sting taking to the stage on 1 August, followed by two nights with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds on 4 and 5 August. New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde will perform on 18 August, with British artist Tom Odell on 23 August and heavy metal legends Judas Priest on 25 August. The season concludes in September with Hollywood Vampires on 3 September and BRAVE MMA, in collaboration with Brave CF and WFC, on 5 September.

Beyond the Arena, Istria offers visitors every reason to extend a concert trip into a longer Mediterranean escape. The heart-shaped peninsula is celebrated for its exceptional food and wine, from fresh seafood and local wines to award-winning olive oils, artisan cheeses and prized white truffles. Its landscape is dotted with colourful coastal towns, family-run restaurants, vineyard-covered hills and centuries-old hilltop villages.
Outdoor enthusiasts can explore Istria by land and sea, cycling along scenic coastal routes and former railway trails, kayaking through crystal-clear coves, sailing across the Adriatic or discovering protected natural landscapes. Nearby destinations including Rovinj, Poreč and the Brijuni Islands make ideal day trips, while Pula itself offers a rich blend of Roman heritage, striking beaches and waterfront dining.
Visitors looking to turn a concert evening into a longer break can choose from a variety of accommodation options across Pula and the wider Istrian peninsula. Travellers can unwind at the Adriatic-front Grand Hotel Brioni Pula, while the elegant Monumenti Heritage Hotel & Resort offers a unique stay within a beautifully restored historic naval landmark.
Combining world-class entertainment, ancient heritage, coastal scenery and Istria’s renowned culinary culture, Pula Arena’s summer 2026 programme offers the perfect excuse for an unforgettable Adriatic getaway.aa
